Start a world

Draw together online, on one tiny pixel canvas

PixyPlace is a shared pixel canvas for exactly two people. Send one link, and you can both paint the same little world, live, from your own phones. No account, no download, free.

How drawing together works

  1. One of you makes a world. Type your name and tap Create. That's the whole sign-up.
  2. Invite your person. Send the invite link, or read out the 6-letter room code (like K7M-Q2P) so they can type it in. Once they join, the world is locked to the two of you.
  3. Paint at the same time, or at different times. When you're both online you see each other's pixels appear as they're placed, and each other's cursor. When you're not, the next visit starts with a short replay of what your person painted while you were away.
  4. Come back tomorrow. Ink comes back one drop every 10 minutes, up to 30, so every pixel is a small choice. Paint on the same days and the world grows from 32×32 to 48×48 and then 64×64.

Two ways to draw together

A world that grows

An empty canvas that belongs to both of you. Draw a house, a garden, your cat, an inside joke. It's never finished and it's kept forever, so it slowly turns into a map of your days together. Your partner's fresh pixels are protected for 3 hours, so nobody erases the other's work by accident.

A drawing to copy, side by side

Pick a picture from the gallery (like the ones below), or turn your own photo into pixel art, and paint it together, pixel by pixel, on a separate canvas. When you finish, you see how close you got.

Questions

Can we draw together at the same time?

Yes. When you're both in the world, every pixel shows up on the other phone as it's placed, along with your cursors. You can also paint at different times; a replay shows what changed since your last visit.

Do we need an account or an app?

No. PixyPlace runs in the browser on any phone or computer. You type a name, and the invite link or room code is all your person needs.

Is it free?

Yes, PixyPlace is free to play.

Can more than two people draw on one canvas?

No, on purpose. Every world has exactly two seats. It's made for couples, best friends and siblings, not for crowds. For a big public canvas, try something like r/place or Wplace.

Can someone else see what we draw?

No. Only the two of you can open your world. It's shared only if you share a picture or timelapse yourselves.

Ready to draw together?

It takes about ten seconds to make a world and send the link.
